We have recently created a really neat App for iPhone users. With this App you may store your Pet and Vet information, Issue Lost Pet Alerts, find local vets and shelters, and more. With the iPhone App, you can also Issue a Lost Pet Alert from your current location as well as you home address on record. This is a great feature if you are out for a walk away from home or traveling out of town.
The iPet Alert iPhone App is Free and is now available for download at the Apple iTunes App Store.

The really cool thing about iPet Alert is that with just a mouse click you can instantly alert others that your pet is missing. As soon as an alert is activated, a message is sent to local Vets and iPet Alert members to be on the lookout for your missing pet. Its an Electronic Neighborhood Watch right at your fingertips with over 20,000 people nationwide!
And they have a free mobile companion iPhone App that let's you keep all your Pet and Vet data sync'd with your iPhone and access all the features of the web service right from your iPhone!
With the iPhone companion App, you can keep all your pet's information up-to-date, organized, and always with you. Plus you can Issue a Lost Pet Alert right from your iPhone alerting people from your current location or around your home address.
The site also can instantly create a Missing Pet Flyer for you to email or print and post around town. I can send this to local vets, neighbors, or anyone else via email. I can even use this same flyer to make copies and post in my neighborhood.
Plus there is a detailed emergency checklist to use. I know pets can wander off at times, my pet does, so it's comforting to know I have access to all this with the click of a mouse.

We're a San Diego based company using technology to help locate a lost pet.
A few years back we had a close firend that lost their dog "Crash". "Crash" was an important member of their family, and we discovered how unprepared they were to quickly get the word out so others could be on the lookout for their lost dog. After the initial search through their neighborhood, it took them a while to come up with a photo, some more time to create a flyer, still more time to copy and post flyers around their immediate area, and even longer to manually find and contact the local Vets and Shelters. Even with us helping, it took a few days to complete.
As we were helping our friends produce & distribute flyers, and contact local Vets, I thought there should be a better way. In the past we had done some work setting up an Amber Alert system using text messages to alert cell phone users when there was a missing child in their area. Our system had been used by the State of California, so we thought a similar system would be very helpful for pet owners tyring to locate thier missing pet. Hence we developed the iPetAlert web service to do just that.
Now with the amazing technology of smart phones, we also have a companion App for the iPhone. With it's built-in Camera, GPS, and internet connectivity, the iPhone is the perfect device. You can keep your Pet & Vet Info always with you to make easy updates during a visit to the Vet.
